Phil

This is what happens when Phil decides to check his radiator fluid in your driveway.

Phil hadn't been outside for more than about 3 minutes when he came in to report "Isaac, we've got a problem..... a rabbit just ran into the garage!".

Reponding Quickly, I dashed to secure the premises and hook up our survellance to document the ensuing events.

Upon further investigation and interrogation, I found out that Phil had seen the rabbit coming and attempted to block his entrance, but the animal was too wily and fast for him.  The rabbit had managed to fake Phil out and make his way inside the garage, but not before stepping directly on top of one of Phil's feet.

Exploring the garage, we found the little guy hidden in the corner behind a collection of paint cans.

He was very, very ferocious, so we approached with extreme caution.

After a harrowing struggle, Phil and I managed to corral him and send him on his way.  You can see his vicious face in the photograph below.

Note: No Rabbits or Phils were harmed in this event.

Some new Videos!

Orion's First Piano Concerto.  Orion is 5 months old and learning piano. Earlier today he also showed me a special guitar playing technique involving one hand and one foot!

In the second video, Orion is demonstrating the Chinese custom of asking for a red pocket at Chinese New Years. If he keeps this up, he will be able to earn many many red pockets (and mucho money!) next year!!

Joe and Rachel's Wedding Weekend

A Few weeks back Joe and Rachel were married in Alsip, Illinois, which is a south side suburb of Chicago.  As a result, Dad, Carol, Tom, Julie, Bill and Heather were all able to stop in to visit, and for many of them, meet Little Orion for the first time.  You might notice that heather is just starting to show.  Soon Orion will have another second cousin (Is that right?) to meet!

In case anyone is wondering, Carol had Orion bursting with laughter in those shots.
Sorry, no shots from the wedding.  You can see many photos of the ceremony on facebook if you are interested.

Old Town Art Fair

Just a quick note here, I've been swamped for the past few weeks and unable to update with anything meaningful.  In the meantime, I want to mention that the old town art fair is coming up in two weeks.  This is THE event of the Old Town year.  If you are looking for an excuse to visit old town, see the beautiful buildings, eat some great food, listen to music and view/purchase world class artwork, make sure to visit the Old Town art fair.  Please note that the Old Town art fair is held in combination with the Well's Street Art Festival and the Party at St. Mike's in Old Town 2010.  Together these three events are a really great event.

Proceeds from the events go right back to the neighborhood parks/playgrounds, schools etc.
